Corey J. Adamson and Brooks R. Foland of the Harrisburg office recently obtained a defense verdict in Berks County on behalf of an ambulance company. Defendant ambulance company was dispatched to provide non-emergency transport to Plaintiff. After a difficult extraction from the Plaintiff’s residence, the paramedic’s arm became fatigued, and as a result the upper right end of the scoop litter holding the Plaintiff dropped. Plaintiff struck his right arm and hand on the curb, and claimed permanent loss of strength and usage of the right hand, as well as continued pain. The Jury returned a verdict of no negligence.
