Defense Verdict in General Liability Case

Joseph A. Holko secures defense verdict where pretrial demand was $50,000.00, in a jury trial before the Honorable Judge William Moran.

Plaintiff's Complaint alleged that the Defendants defamed the Plaintiff, said defamation consisting of slander per se and the use of racial slurs.

Judge Moran granted our Motion for a Directed Verdict in favor of Defendants against Plaintiff at the conclusion of trial.  The Court informed Plaintiff that his ruling was based on Plaintiff's failure to introduce sufficient evidence to prove general damages as required in slander per se cases.
