TT&H represented Defendant, an electrical contractor who installed a
meter base and conduit on a recently-built home. The home suffered extensive
damage when the conduit separated, pulling certain wiring connections out of the
meter base. The Plaintiff’s Complaint alleged that Defendant caused the fire by
failing to properly install the conduit.
At trial, TT&H contended that Defendant properly installed the meter
base and conduit and that the conduit installation was subsequently changed.
Plaintiff denied changing the conduit installation and denied having any
knowledge of it having been changed by anyone else. The 12 person jury found
TT&H’s witnesses credible, voting unanimously in favor of no liability on
the part of Defendant.
