Tom is a long time resident of Pittsburgh and earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Notre Dame.  Tom's practice areas include general liability, health care and professional licensure, governmental entity and civil rights defense, and white collar and general criminal defense. 

Tom joined the firm in July 2007, after 20 years with the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office.  Tom has tried approximately 200 cases to jury verdict, and has extensive experience investigating and prosecuting health care matters, homicides, sexual assaults, police use of force cases and white collar cases.  Tom has presented on health care issues to the California Attorney General's Office, and others.  Tom served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in a 55 defendant RICO prosecution.  Since Tom joined TT&H, the firm's clients have benefitted from his investigatory and trial experience in the handling of civil matters on their behalf.
