Richard DiSalle joins the firm in September, 2010. He was engaged in the private practice of law in Canonsburg, PA from 1952 to 1969 and also served as First Assistant District Attorney for Washington County. He left private practice to serve on the Court of Common Pleas of Washington County, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

He then joined the firm of Rose, Schmidt, Hasley & DiSalle in January, 1982, and served as its Chairman. His practice includes representation of both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation, appellate matters and personal injury and commercial litigation. He served as Solicitor for Washington County from July 2000 to December 2003.

Richard has represented Rockwood Insurance Company and The Mutual Fire, Marine and Inland Insurance Company in actuarial and accounting malpractice cases and bad faith claims, and Erie Insurance Group in personal injury litigation, bad faith claims, class actions and insurance rate cases. He has also represented the Independent Oil and Gas Association of Pennsylvania in assessment and tax appeals. He successfully represented Angelo Medure and Medure Enterprises in a defamation action against US News and World Report. He also successfully represented a number of Amoco dealers in a case against British Petroleum.
