For over 25 years, Pete has labored as a trial attorney in the civil litigation field. His area of concentration has been medical malpractice defense, where he has represented a variety of health care providers, including doctors, nurses, physician assistants, outpatient surgery clinics and hospitals. Over the years he has participated in numerous medical malpractice trials involving very complex medical and factual issues, and he has been listed in "The Best Lawyers in America."

After graduating from law school, Pete served as a Captain in the United States Army, Judge Advocate General's Corps, from 1972 to 1977. In 1974, he received a Fellowship in Forensic Medicine from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and in conjunction with that program, he received Master's Degree in Forensic Science from George Washington University in 1975. Following his discharge from the Army, Pete was employed as an Assistant Attorney General in the Pennsylvania Department of General Services from 1977 to 1978. Pete has been with the firm since 1979, originally with its predecessor, Thomas & Thomas.

Pete was raised in Avoca, Pennsylvania, which is in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area of Pennsylvania. He and his wife are life long residents of Pennsylvania. They have three adult children, Brendan, Meghan and James. Outside of the office Pete likes to fish and golf.
