Carrie grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. After spending a summer working with children with psychiatric disorders, Carrie decided to major in social work in college. Carrie began working at Dauphin County Children and Youth in her senior year and, following graduation, continued working there, dedicating most of her time to assisting abused children in foster care. Through her work at Dauphin County Children and Youth, Carrie spent many hours in court presenting evidence on behalf of children. Inspired by her contacts with the legal system, Carrie pursued her juris doctorate in the evenings while continuing to work, eventually running the Children and Youth's legal department. Carrie joined the firm in 2006, and focuses her practice in workers' compensation and child welfare matters. Carrie stays active in children's rights issues, is an avid runner and enjoys golfing.
