Amanda Hennessey Wins Defense Arbitration Award in a Property Damage Case

TTH Attorney Amanda Hennessey recently won a Philadelphia County arbitration involving alleged property damages from her client’s roofing work.  Plaintiff claimed that the replacement roof installed on her neighbor’s home did not have proper drainage and caused water infiltration into her home, resulting in property damages.  Plaintiff also alleged that the work performed by Amanda’s client clogged Plaintiff’s roof drain, which contributed to the water infiltration and related property damage.

Amanda’s client argued that Plaintiff’s water infiltration predated its work, and that it actually installed additional drainage on the neighboring roof.  The arbitration panel agreed that Amanda’s client did not perform its work negligently and entered a defense verdict.
