John is a civil trial lawyer who also has significant experience in real estate matters.
His practice focuses on litigation, drafting zoning analysis; representation of clients at zoning hearing boards to obtain use variances, dimensional variances, signage variances, special exceptions; taking a raw site through local municipal planning committee processes; eminent domain; private road adjudications; zoning appeals; federal court civil right suits related to adverse zoning determinations; complicated building permit applications; commercial land leases; easements; parking lot issues; water intrusion issues; erosion and sedimentation control issues with local soil conservation officers. He has successfully handled corporate and real estate litigation of several high profile disputes in the Central Pennsylvania area.
John is a decorated U.S. Army veteran of the Gulf War, where he managed legal issues for the Army in occupied Iraqi territory during the ground conflict. While on active duty in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Lieutenant Colonel Yaninek tried numerous criminal cases at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He now serves in the United States Army Reserve with the U.S. Army War College.
John is active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
