Kristyn Giarratano Jeckell joined Thomas, Thomas & Hafer as an associate in the firm’s Wilkes-Barre office in 2026. Kristyn is a member of the general liability and medical malpractice practice groups. Prior to joining the firm, Kristyn served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lesa S. Gelb of the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas and was employed as an associate at a regional law firm for over five years, where she represented clients in labor and employment disputes, civil rights matters, and commercial litigation. In 2023 and 2024, Kristyn was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star.
Kristyn graduated with her Juris Doctorate from the Duquesne University School of Law in 2019. While in law school, Kristyn served as a certified legal intern and then student manager of the Civil Rights Clinic of the Tribone Center for Clinical Legal Education in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was also active in Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity and served as President of the Duquesne Italian-American Law Society. In 2017, Kristyn traveled with other members of her class to six cities in China to study Intellectual Property Law and Environmental Law in a Comparative Context. Prior to her third year of law school, Kristyn interned at a Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania law firm representing health care facilities.
Kristyn graduated from the Temple University Fox School of Business and Management in 2015, obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management with a minor in Legal Studies in Business.
Kristyn has volunteered as Attorney Advisor to the Pittston Area High School Mock Trial Team since 2024. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association. Kristyn resides in Luzerne County with her husband and son.
