Overview

Maria V. Go is an associate in the Philadelphia office of Thomas, Thomas & Hafer. Maria is a member of the firm’s general liability practice group and has extensive litigation experience.

Before joining TTH, Maria worked at a mid-sized Philadelphia insurance defense firm. During her tenure at that firm, she worked exclusively defending an institution against sex abuse claims. Her experience also includes mass tort litigation, personal injury, worker’s compensation and employment law while working at other small and mid-sized firms in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

After completing her MBA, she worked in consulting in Washington D.C. utilizing her legal background in financial compliance developing auditing protocols for a national bank for sub-prime mortgages. Prior to her time in private practice, Maria clerked for the Honorable Richard J. Geiger and the Honorable John S. Holston, J.A.D., Ret.in the Superior Court of New Jersey Family Division.

Maria was the youngest member and the first Asian to appointed to the Judicial Prosecutorial Assignment Committee (JPAC), of the NJ State Bar Association where she represented Cumberland County for 6 years. JPAC vetted candidates and reinstatements for every judicial and prosecutorial position across the state of New Jersey from Municipal Court to the NJ Supreme Court.

Maria is a graduate of the Boston University School of Law and obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She also graduated with an MBA from Temple University Fox School of Business and a Tax LLM from Temple University School of Law.

Maria is a proud member of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association whose mission is to support the advancement of Asian Pacific American attorneys and to promote justice, equity, and legal access for all Asian Pacific American Communities.
