Peter E. Schurig is a partner in the Richmond, VA office of Thomas, Thomas & Hafer. Pete maintains a diverse litigation practice defending insurers and their insureds in all manner of general liability and construction disputes.
Pete is also recognized as a Best Lawyer in the area of Commercial Litigation and routinely represents commercial entities in negotiations and in trial and alternative dispute resolution.
Before entering private practice, Pete was a JAG Attorney in the U.S. Army serving as trial counsel prosecutor. Pete routinely practices in both state and federal court in Virginia and nationally and has tried over 50 jury trials.
After graduating from Virginia Tech, Pete worked as a chemist in Georgia and California before attending law school. Outside of the office, Pete enjoys traveling, running, tennis, and spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their four children and two dogs.
