Thomas, Thomas & Hafer is pleased to share that two attorneys will serve in leadership positions in the Pennsylvania Defense Institute (“PDI”) during the upcoming year.  Ryan Blazure, a partner in the firm’s Wilkes-Barre office, will serve as President.  Rebecca Sember-Izsak, a partner in the Pittsburgh office, has been elected Secretary.  PDI is one of the largest state and local defense organizations in the nation, with a membership of approximately 400 lawyers, insurance company executives and insurance adjusters.

TTH has a long history of service in state and local defense organizations.  Current or retired TT&H lawyers who have served as past presidents of such organizations include Pete Speaker, Monica O’Neill, Lou Long, Ben Peoples and Jack Lapidus.  Addressing the roles being assumed by Ryan and Rebecca, Ben Peoples, one of TTH’s three managing partners, commented: “We are proud that Ryan and Rebecca will continue our long tradition of being leaders of the defense bar.”
