Legal Billing Specialist/Support:

The ideal candidate must possess the following: a strong work ethic, punctuality, excellent typing skills and grammar skills,  the ability to perform effectively as part of a team or independently, the ability to see all aspects of a project through to completion while maintaining quality of the highest level, strong organizational and effective time management abilities, attention to detail, demonstrated proficiency and savvy with technology.

The suitable candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Word, Outlook, pdfDocs, scanning, and document management software to support our paperless work environment. 

Prior Legal Billing experience in a law firm environment is preferable, but not required.

Job duties/responsibilities include: 

  • Work closely with current support team on all billing activities;
  • Edit invoices prior to their being uploaded and entered into billing software; 
  • Prepare invoices for payment via email; 
  • Pull electronic expense backup when is needed;
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are current;
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and other issues;
  • Maintain accurate and organized vendor files;
  • Generate and send out client invoices while ensuring guideline compliance based on specific needs;
  • Assist with month-end closing;
  • Perform other job related work as assigned and directed.
